ETA: Just a warning? This post can be summarized like so:
clex_monkie89: P.S. Your meme reads like you're me.
clex_monkie89: "I HAVE TO PICK ONE? UHM. ALL OF THEM!"
cheriemorte: STOP ASKING ME TO KNOW MY FEELINGS ABOUT SUPERNATURAL.
cheriemorte: NO ONE KNOWS MY FEELINGS, ESPECIALLY NOT ME.
1. Deangirl or Samgirl?
That's such a silly question. I'm really both. When I first got into the show I was STAUNCHLY A DEAN GIRL and wanted everyone to hear about it. But ever since I wrote my big bang last year, I got really trapped in Sam brain and look, you can't love one and not be completely in love with the other by virtue of seeing them through each other's eyes so it's just like. I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF GIRL I AM TODAY. WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IS IT? They both give me the feels so bad. ;_________;
2. Casgirl, yes or no?
Love Cas! Don't love what they did to him last season, but I'm so glad they've redeemed him in such a beautiful way. He makes my heart all tingly, especially in Season 5 when, like EVERYTHING THE FUCK ELSE he just gives me EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE FEELINGS, HOLD ME.
3. Favorite season?
I tend to be very subtle about this, as in most things, but Season 5, you guys. Season 5 in every way. Ask me about Season 5. I will tell you.
4. Favorite episode(s) from your favorite season?
SWAN SONG. FAVORITE EPISODE OF THE WHOLE SHOW. CANNOT EMOTIONALLY PROCESS. NEED TO STOP TALKING ABOUT IT NOW BECAUSE I AM GETTING ALL WET-EYED AND I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO BE CRYING TONIGHT, MAKE IT STOP. Close seconds: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON and Point of No Return and The End is so good, too, and JFC.
5. Season you're most likely to re-watch?
Season 2. Which was my favorite until Season 5 happened and I was so sure it would be my favorite always, so I watched it approx. 8000 times in my early show days. And now I go back to it because it's so happy (you know, relatively, for Supernatural, at least) but also brings the feels and GOD SO MUCH BOYS IN LOVE and you can watch so many of those episodes for a good laugh without having to get all emotionally invested in the current state of affairs. Season 5, which is the best thing ever, requires all the tear drops as a sacrifice for watching, so while wonderful, one does not simply walk into Season 5. There are feelings there that do not sleep. It is folly.
6. Season you hate the most?
Season 6. Just. don't. get. me. started.
7. Favorite episode of the current season?
Hrm. I'll have to go with 7x02: Hello, Cruel World because it does not suffer from the things that are bothering me with this season and it had hurt!Sam and Dean being SO FUCKING WORRIED and Lucifer being a darling and it was like fanfiction for my eyeballs.
8. Least favorite episode from the current season?
7x08: Season Seven, Time for a Wedding. So offensive. So unfunny. So wrong and stupid and bad on so many levels and I am never going to understand why that shitfest felt like a good idea. I want to congratulate you, episode, on accomplishing Season 6 levels of bad. Had that Dean-becomes-a-vampire-and-Show-self-con
9. Favorite angel (besides Cas)?
Erm. Uh? I don't really like many angels aside from Cas at all, tbh. Lucifer is a magestic snarky bitch, but I don't really think of him as an angel, though I guess that's what he is. Anna? I was pretty into Anna. Or maybe Uriel. He was a bad ass mother, and SO FUCKING HOT that time they make him young. Be still, my loins. Or wait. I just remembered Balthazar existed. WHAT A DELIGHTFUL BASTARD, I would like to have him to tea. NO. WAIT. HOLY CRAP. HOLD ALL THE PHONES. FORGET EVERYTHING I JUST SAID. ZACHARIAH, YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD. YOU ARE LIKE RASPUTIN, EVERY NIGHT I CHECK UNDER MY BED FOR YOU.
10. Least favorite angel?
Gabriel. LOVED the Trickster as a bad guy, but I am never going to understand what purpose making him an angel served except to ruin how fun he was. Why did making him an angel suddenly make everyone decide he wasn't a villain anymore? Guy still spent (presumably) centuries killing people for shits and giggles and emotionally traumatized poor Sam on a level no one else has accomplished. But, oh, well. He told Lucifer to suck it in one episode, so I guess that is all forgiven? No. GTFO. Also, even just his coming to the conclusion that he was on ~~humanity's side and wanted to ~~help out of no where was such a rushed, poorly constructed, unconvincing character development.
11. Favorite demon?
All of them? Shit, I fucking love the demons on this show so much. I guess favorite would be Ruby. Because even you have to admit--she's AWESOME. ;) But then Azazel. And Meg. I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T KNOW.
12. Least favorite demon?
Perhaps Lilith. Yeah. FUCK a bitch named Lilith. But wait, she was awesomely bad. Alastair? He was bad in a less awesome way but still completely enjoyable. How about that demon in the wedding episode who was the reason that episode existed at all? Yes. Let's go with him.
13. Favorite one-episode character?
:/ All my favorite minor characters got brought back for more episodes. Hmm. Would saying Sam Wesson and Dean Smith be cheating? AH, YES, I SEE THAT IT WOULD. How about Jimmy Novak? Does that count? Actually, I think that one does count. HIS LITTLE FACE WHEN HE TAKES HIS HAND OUT OF THE POT. ;_____; And I think that means Misha counts because of The French Mistake in which case I AM A MISHAMIGO. Genevieve was less perfect than I know her to be in my heart and epitomizes most of what I find wrong with that episode, so she's not making the list, but Misha was so fucking precious I could die. Other notable contestants: Linda Blair in The Usual Suspects because she was so great and competent and impressed by BOYS and also I watched The Excorcist too many times as a child, the Casey demon in Sin City just because I thought she was particularly well done, the Man Witch who used to be Dawson Leery's boss/boyfriend in The Curious Case of Dean Winchester, that bartender Sam flirted with in 99 Problems, Brady for hot points, and George the Leviathan from that recent episode. What a charmer, that guy. Total shark. Oh, and the time that ASSHOLE Brad Majors was the Saddest Gay MagicianTM until Jared came along and was a gayer sadder magician.
14. Sam's hair looked best in which season?
JFC, you ask tough questions. I'm going with my gut and say Season 3. Oh, Season 3!Sam. You are the pinnacle of Sam hotness.
15. If the show would have ended the way Kripke wanted it to, with Sam and Dean battling each other and jumping into the hole together (and God might show mercy on them, idk), would you have preferred that?
Yes and no. It would have been the perfect ending to the show, the way I believe Swan Song will always be the end to me and the rest is just one way things could happen. There will just never be another ending as perfect as it, it was the natural stopping point, a culmination of five years of building this relationship until it got to that unbelievably strong, painfully beautiful and tragic place. It has just enough hope but also was realistic, and it would have been so powerful to watch Dean go into the hole after Sam. Open ended enough for lots of great fanfiction to come along and fix it, but without plot holes or a feeling of dissatisfaction.
That said, I had only been watching Show live for one season then, and I loved it the way I had never and probably never will again love any fandom. It would have broken my heart to have things stop so soon. I am perfectly content to have the show go on as long as possible, even if it goes on to horrible terrible things that shit all over five years of good work like Season 6 did just to have the Boys on my TV and the fandom active. But yeah. I'm never going to concede that that's not how things ended, even if the next ending is also beautiful and great and I love it. It still won't be that ending.
16. Best cast character throughout the whole show?
...as if I'm about to choose between Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki who are both exactly who Sam and Dean are and I could never picture anyone else. Get real.
17. Do you think Chuck is God?
Maybe? I don't know or honestly really care very much? I didn't pick up on that when I watched the episode because I know diddly squat about religion so whatever reference the disappearing thing was went right over my head. He could be? I feel like God is so irrelevant, both to canon and to my conception of what matters in the show/world that the question really is moot to me. I never have and never will possess the cognitive ability to get religion(s) or why they matter to anyone. I'm not devaluing religion in any way--this is my shortcoming and I know it. My brain just doesn't work like that.
18. Who's a hotter psychic, Patrica Arquette, Jennifer Love Hewitt or Sam?
I just want you to know that as he was asking this question, Dean was definitely positive it was Sam.
19. Freedom or Peace?
Where is this coming from? I don't know, insert a Castiel quote about how in Paradise Sam and Dean will be at peace and fucking because they're soulmates here, I guess.
20. Dimples, freckles, eye-crinkles, bowlegs, bangs, woobie frowns or jaw clinches?
I'd like to order everything on the menu, please.
21. Favorite kind of monster?
Angels are the monsters that scare me the most. Most amusing/interesting I think I would say demons? Or Shape shifters? I would have said Tricksters before they went and screwed that up. Oh, no, you know what? Tie between demons and reapers. If reapers even count as monsters at this point. Whatever, they are brilliant. I liked the phoenix a lot? Can I say tulpa or have I already used Misha Collins too many times as my answer to things? Or djinns because they bring all the tragic and incest. Oh jeez, now I want to watch that. You see what you've done?
22. Weapon of choice?
Sam's cock. No survivors.
23. Favorite death?
You've got me tied up between All Hell Breaks Loose Part One and Swan Song. Sam's deaths are the best. You get dead Sam, which is the saddest possible thing, and then you've got alive-while-Sam-is-dead!Dean which is even sadder. I want my angst taco with a side of angst and some angst sauce on top, please. God, probably Swan Song. I'M NOT GOING TO LEAVE YOU SAMMY. Fuck. No. No crying. Move along.
24. Favorite minor character's death?
Ellen and Jo. Those ladies really dug into my chest. What a beautiful sacrifice and so empowering how it was on their terms and their devotion to each other. Oh lawd. Also Bobby until they cheapened the fuck out of that by not letting it stick. -____-
25. Pre-apocalyptic, apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic?
Apocalyptic by virtue of that means Season 5. Although I have had SUCH a craving lately for the good ol' pre-Apocalypse days. Those are my happy places. I miss them something fierce. So uncomplicated and happy (erm, in a miserable way).
26. Scariest episode?
I know intellectually that the answer to this question is Bloody Mary. That said, the faces that happened to people in Crossroad Blues almost made me pee myself because I was too scared to walk into the hallway alone in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I don't know what it is. I know there are scarier episodes, but they don't scare me. Even now, I cannot watch that episode without looking away.
27. Best song that mattered for a scene? (you can't choose Carry on Wayward Son)
My vagina will never go flameless when that music cue for Renegade in Nightshifter happens. Never.
28. Best and worst young versions of characters?
COLIN FORD IS BABY SAM AND IF YOU TRY TO SAY OTHERWISE I WILL SHOOT YOU IN THE FACE. Ahem. I also quite like Matt Cohen's young!John. I guess I'll go with Mary for the worst? Not because I have anything against the actress, I just don't love the character when she's expanded beyond "here is our dead mother whose memory we will sanctify and use as a plot point and who Dean will often get wibbly over."
29. Characters I ship like crazy?
Alright. So. I'll just confess it after all these years of hiding. I ship Sam and Dean. There. I said it. Also Sam/Dean/Jess. Sam/Jess. Girl!Sam/Jess. Dean/Jess. Dean/girl!Sam/Jess. Jess/Lisa. Sam/Dean/Castiel/Jess. Sam/Dean/Lisa that one time. Sam/Dean/Lisa/Jess. Sam/Dean/Lisa/Jess/Castiel. Sam/Dean/their Sister, Jess. Jess/Gen!Ruby. Jess/Jo. Jess/Me. Whoa, wait, how did that last one get in there? Sam/Castiel. Sam/Dean/Cas. Sam/Dean/Henriksen. Would also accept this threesome with Jess. Jared/Jensen/Jess. Castiel/Daphne. Jess/Castiel. Jess/Daphne. Sam/Brady. Sam/Brady/Jess. Jess/Brady. Jess/Jess. In summation: Sam and Dean together for ever, oftentimes in threesomes, and can someone please love on Jess?
30. Favorite female character?
BUT WHY DID THEY KILL JESS, THO?
31. Best and worst season intro and finale?
Best season intro: 2x01: In My Time of Dying. Best season finale: 5x22: Swan Song.
Worst season intro: Congratulations, Season 6, your first episode was even worse than The Magnificent Seven. Worst Season finale: Season 6. No, but really guys. Ask me how I feel about Season 6.
ETA: No, you know what? clex_monkie89 has just reminded my that 6x01 had that Dean being domestic montage and Lisa being perfect and DEAN THINKING HE IS DEAD AND IN HEAVEN BECAUSE SAMMY FACE, so even though robo!Sam and that stupid hug and the Campbells and shitting all over the memory of Season 5!Sam's perfection, I will give Exile on Main Street that it is less bad than The Magnificent Seven. I know you were all really concerned about this, so I've informed you now.
Wow, Cherie. Have more feelings, I dare you.
P.S. Anyone out there searching for ways to make me happy who cannot take hints, I'll drop another one. NEEDS MOAR JESS FIC AND ALSO ART.
